ANGLER "Bass of the Month" Grand Prize Winner, Nam Nguyen from
Apple Valley, Minnesota. He was selected from all winning
monthly entries and was awarded a high-quality fish replica of
his catch from Donnie Poore's Fish'N Art (retail value $150.00)
Nam Nguyen
He is an Information Systems Manager at the University of
Minnesota. He also teaches Tae Kwon Do to youth and adults
through community education in the Minneapolis area. In his
spare time he trains, coaches, and competes at various Tae Kwon
Do tournaments throughout the Midwest region, and makes time to
enjoy his passion for fishing on an evening or weekend.
Nam began fishing with his father at age 4 catching sunfish with
worms. He enjoys catching bass on topwater and plastic worms,
and chasing muskies and lake trout. His favorite spots are the
St. Croix River, boundary waters near Ely, Lake Minnetonka, and
Canada in early spring and fall. His dream is to one day catch
and land an elusive tarpon from the Florida Keys.
Nam fishes with his friend from an 18' Bass Tracker bass boat
with a Mercury 60hp four stroke.
