SEBILE® MAGIC SWIMMER™

SEBILE® MAGIC SWIMMER™

The international award winning Sebile® Magic Swimmer™ swimbait can catch any fish, anywhere….from weekend outings, to fruit jar derbies to the highest level of competitive fishing.

The lipless, balanced design of the jointed, thin-body Magic Swimmer creates a unique and natural action that sets this bait apart from all others. The tapered nose and humpbacked head slice through the water and create the undulating action. The bait performs perfectly in a wide variety of retrieval speeds, from a slow crank to high speed trolling. This provides fish the most realistic swimming bait in the water.

The Magic Swimmer swims as it sinks without reeling, providing a falling action game fish can’t resist. Stop reeling and the bait automatically continues to swim on its own while dropping. Twitch the bait for an erratic darting action.

The jointed swimbait is available in fast sinking (fsk), sinking (sk) and slow sinking (ssk) models offered in thirty different colors depending on size. The Magic Swimmer is amazingly effective and versatile by simply varying the retrieval speed of the lure.

Superior balance allows for excellent long distant and accurate casting even into the wind and a true retrieve every time at a variety of depths, from waking to 12-feet deep depending on the model.

The thin baitfish body is jointed in three parts to ripple together in rhythmic swimming motion making it the perfect prey imposter.

The slow sinking Magic Swimmer swims perfectly when reeled or trolled at any speed while the Fast Sinking Magic Swimmer has a falling action all its own. Retrieve these baits steady and straight or stay just below the surface to create a wake that fish can’t resist.

Each of the legendary Magic Swimmer models brings a unique, yet realistic, action to the water that is perfect for any season, any fish, anywhere.

With an MSRP of $17.20 – $43.00, anglers have the advantage on any water with the Magic Swimmer line of Lures.

Revo Premier spinning reel

ABU GARCIA REVO SPINNING

Graphite light but with the strength of an all metal body, the new Revo® Premier spinning reel from Abu Garcia® is leaving the competition in its wake. NanoShieldTM technology is pioneering unmatched material’s properties for optimum reel performance by creating components that are up to 50% lighter than aluminum and up to 300% stronger than graphite.

Taken from the science and metallurgy of the nuclear power industry, NanoShield plating provides unmatched strength. The process creates a more complete and consistent plating making the spool and stem on the Revo Premier extremely rigid. The result, a lightweight spinning reel with heavy weight performance that eliminates torque of the reel stem when fighting an oversized fish. The NanoShield finish is resistant to corrosion, abrasion and cracking.

The reel has features that truly earn its place in the Revo family. 11 HPCR® (High Performance Corrosion Resistant) stainless steel bearings create not only an extremely smooth operation but add to the life of the reel. Stainless steel mainshaft and hardware, sealed Carbon MatrixTM Drag with 12-pound maximum setting and one-piece aluminum gear box strengthens gear alignment. The one-two punch of EverlastTM Bail System and Slow Oscillation create a smooth and reliable line retrieve operation.

Two models are offered. The PRM20 weighs 7.9 ounces, has a gear ratio of 5.1:1 spooling 27 inches of line per turn of the handle with a spool capacity of 130 yards of 8-pound test monofilament or 190 yards of 8-pound test Fireline®. Model PRM30 weighs 8.1 ounces, has a gear ratio of 5.8:1 spooling 33 inches of line per handle turn with a spool capacity of 140 yards of 10-pound test mono and 180 yards of 10-pound Fireline. The Revo Premier spinning reel can be configured for right- or left-hand retrieve. The MSRP is $249.95.

STREN BRUTE STRENGTH

Stren® is known for strong and reliable monofilament lines that have provided anglers with dependable quality since Stren Original® exploded onto the market decades ago. The new Stren Brute StrengthTM gives anglers the same inherent quality, but this line packs a bit more punch than the original. Nearly twice as strong as its label indicates, Brute Strength is in a class by itself.

Other extra strength monofilament lines can be fat, stiff and extremely difficult to cast. Stren Brute Strength is a whole new creature. Produced with a proprietary new co-polymer formula the line provides extra strength while remaining more flexible and easier to cast. Brute Strength also has less memory and better handling than other monofilaments in its class.

With superior knot strength and shock strength, Brute Strength is a very powerful line that delivers on the hook set.

Brute Strength is available in Clear/Blue Fluorescent and Lo-Vis Green. Offered in pound tests ranging from 6 to 40 pounds, Stren Brute Strength comes in 330-yard filler spools and 1⁄4-pound custom spools with an MSRP of $7.95-$15.95, depending on pound test and spool size.

Yum F2 Mighty Bug

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

YUM Soft Plastics’ new F2 Mighty Bug is a versatile creature bait infused with a potent attractant. The Mighty Bug features six active appendages and a tri-segmented body to produce more water displacement than most other creature baits. Four small kicking legs and two longer claw-like swimming appendages create panicked action with the slightest twitch. The segmented body causes it to undulate on the swim. Combine these fish-attracting features with an effective attractant and you’ve got a winner. Read More→

XCalibur One Knocker Square Lip

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

The new XCalibur Square Lip Xcs Series cast like a bullet and bounce off cover like a champ, looking just like a dazed and confused baitfish. The paddle lip design allows the lure to be threaded through thick cover and come out the other side, a real trigger for bass.  It also causes a wobble with a semi-roll to show its flash to bass down below.  Its silent swim projects a realistic baitfish look, sound and feel, very big advantage in clear water. TroKar Magnum Swimbait Hooks

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

These new hooks from TroKar are the beefiest and stoutest we’ve ever seen. The BCD Staff were given a few samples at last July’s international tackle show and had time to finish out the remaining tournaments of the season with them.  We are convinced the word TroKar in Latin means “StrongSharp”.  Made to withstand the brutal forces exerted by a typical Skeet Reese hook-set, these super hooks will take whatever you can dish out.  There are two different designs: the 160 and the 170, which is a weighted version of the 160, with the weight perfectly placed to keep a swimbait or big tube running true.  They are exceptionally sharp and come in four sizes: 3/0, 5/0, 7/0 and 9/0. Go to their web site at www.lasertrokar.com and learn how they surgically sharpen these superb hooks. If you’re into small fish, don’t bother.  But if you don’t want to loose a potential big fish pot, do it now.
