ABU GARCIA® VENDETTA™
Factory
Balanced for the Abu Garcia Revo® and Soron™ Reels
Bass anglers take no gruff from a largemouth bass, and with Abu
Garcia® rods and reels, the bass simply don’t have a chance. The
new Vendetta™ Series of bass fishing spinning and baitcasting
rods are designed to balance perfectly with the Abu Garcia Soron™
spinning and Revo® baitcasting reels. A balanced combo creates
better sensitivity, performance and comfort.
The Vendetta one-piece rods start with a graphite rod blank
customized with Pac Bay DPL and APL frame guides with SiC
inserts and Fuji Soft-Touch ACS and VSS reel seats. These
components provide a lightweight, strong performance perfect for
all day use.
The split-grip handle is made from high density EVA with a
one-piece machined, anodized aluminum lockdown for the most
secure rod to reel management. As a final touch, the butt cap is
laser etched with the Abu Garcia crest and a Texas-rig hook
keeper added.
Seven spinning models are available ranging from a 6’3” medium
action model to a 7’4” medium action rod. There are ten baitcast
rods in the Vendetta series from a 6’3” medium to a 7’6” medium
heavy rod.
ABU GARCIA® ORRA SX
Built
with Traditional Abu Garcia Reliability and Performance
Born from the Revo® series, the Orra SX low profile baitcast
reel is built around the performance that has made Abu Garcia®
legendary in a sleek package that will give anglers the perfect
combination of performance, reliability and value. The low
profile Orra SX is loaded with features anglers rely on. The
one-piece aluminum frame and graphite sideplates are lightweight
with a ergonomic design for easy casting and enhanced control
while fighting the fish. The 7+1 bearing system creates a smooth
performing reel for longer casts.
The new Pitch Centrifugal Brake provides better cast control,
reducing backlashes whether pitching, flipping or casting. The
reel has six brake blocks, three that are spring loaded, great
for spool control at the beginning of a cast. The other three
are not spring loaded for maximum braking throughout the entire
cast, or when the spool is not under high revolution such as
short pitching or windy days. Once a fish is on the Power Disk
Drag System remains smooth throughout the battle and won’t heat
up. The Duragear™ brass gears and oversized main gear give the
angler the added muscle needed to bring the fish to the boat.
The 8.71-ounce Orra SX has a gear ratio of 6.4:1 and can be
spooled with 145 yards of 12-pound test monofilament fishing
line.
ABU GARCIA® SORON™ SX
High Quality Spinning Reel for Less than $100
The
Abu Garcia® Sorön™ STX quickly became one of the most popular
freshwater and saltwater spinning reels on the market. Now the
Sorön SX joins the STX, with many of the same strong features
but at a lower price. The SX is available in five sizes, from
the diminutive SX10 to the hefty SX70. All five models are based
on the X-Cräftic alloy body and body cover for corrosion
resistance. The six HPCR™ (High Performance Corrosion Resistant)
bearings and IAR bearing are built for corrosion resistance as
well making this reel ideal for freshwater and saltwater
applications. The multi-washer Carbon Matrix™ Drag System is
extremely smooth even under heavy loads and is sealed for added
corrosion protection. With Duragear™ gears, the SX will be
reliable for years. Each reel is packaged with two spools for
optimum line selection versatility. The superline spool is
equipped with O-ring inserts on the spool to prevent braided
line from spinning on the spool. Anglers no longer need to spool
monofilament backing when using superline. The other spool is a
traditional spool without the O-ring. The SX10 weighs 7.8
ounces and has a spool capacity of 110 yards of 6-pound test
Berkley FireLine. The SX20 weighs 9.5 ounces and carries 130
yards of 8-pound test FireLine. The 10.6-ounce SX40 can be
spooled with 210 yards of 10-pound test FireLine. All three
reels have a gear ratio of 5.1:1. Both the SX60 and SX70 have
a gear ratio of 4.8:1. Weighing 14.9 ounces, the SX60 has a line
capacity of 350 yards of 14-pound test FireLine. The SX70 weighs
20.3 ounces with a line capacity of 300 yards of 20-pound test
FireLine. All Soron SX reels can be configured for left or
right handed fishing. ABU GARCIA® REVO® STX UPGRADED
Now with Infini Brake Design
It
can be tough to take a proven workhorse low profile baitcast
reel and improve it. But Abu Garcia® has upgraded the popular
Revo® STX with enhanced features to improve casting and
fishability.
The Revo STX brake design is enhanced with the change to the
Infini brake. The new brake system combines a sealed centrifugal
brake with the original linear magnetic brake. This gives the
angler the ability to fine tune the reel to meet any situation
or condition.
All the favorite features of the original STX remain. Ten
HPCR® (High Performance Corrosion Resistant) bearings, corrosion
resistant IAR bearing, Duragear™ brass gears, Carbon Matrix™
drag and Infini II™ spool are still part of the design. The X-Cräftic
alloy frame and side plates are lightweight and provide optimum
corrosion protection.
The Revo STX is available in right or left hand versions and
in two retrieve speeds of 6.4:1 and 7.1:1. The reel includes an
attractive and compact profile bent handle and star drag.
ABU GARCIA® REVO® TORO™ WINCH Baitcaster
The
Revo® Toro™ Winch from Abu Garcia® has a high capacity spool
with a high torque gear ratio ideal for winning the battle
against a big fish.
The gear ratio is 4.6:1 designed for heavy work. With this
cranking power an angler will enjoy teasing a big bed fish with
a big tube, pulling those oversized swimbaits through the water
for largemouth or going deep for striped bass.
The new Pitch Centrifugal Brake provides better cast control,
reducing backlashes whether pitching, flipping or casting. The
reel has six brake blocks, three that are spring loaded, great
for spool control at the beginning of a cast. The other three
are not spring loaded for maximum braking throughout the entire
cast, great for casts when the spool is not under high
revolution such as short pitching or windy days.
The Carbon Matrix® Drag System, with 22 pounds of maximum
drag, is ultra smooth under heavy loads. The Infini II™ spool
design extends casting distance. Complementing the reel are 6
stainless steel HPCR® (High Performance Corrosion Resistant)
bearings and X-Cräftic alloy frame and side plate for optimum
corrosion protection.
Duragear™ brass gears last a lifetime and the synchronized
TiN coated levelwind provides an even line lay. Both reels are
available in left and right hand retrieve and packaged with a
Power Handle and an Extended Throw Paddle Handle.
ABU GARCIA® REVO® PREMIER UPGRADED
Hottest Reel on the Market Just Got Hotter
The
Revo® Premier reel from Abu Garcia® literally beams quality. And
the popular bass fishing reel has been given a facelift to make
the lightest low profile aluminum baitcast reel even better.
The Carbon Matrix™ Drag System, with 20 pounds of maximum drag,
is ultra smooth under heavy loads. Three additional HPCR® (High
Performance Corrosion Resistant) bearings make this smooth reel
even smoother.
The new Infini Brake design gives the angler more cast control
for fighting the wind or changing between different weight
baits. Infini Brake combines a sealed centrifugal brake with the
original linear magnetic brake allowing both to be fished
exclusively as a magnetic brake, as a centrifugal brake or the
reel can be used with a combination of two. This gives the
angler the ability to fine-tune the reel to meet any situation
or condition.
Weighing only 6.7 ounces, the Revo Premier is available in right
or left hand versions and now sports an attractive and compact
profile bent handle with flat EVA knobs and star drag. The gear
ratio is 6.4:1 and the spool holds 145 yards of 12-pound
monofilament fishing line.
PFLUEGER® PATRIARCH XT
Making Pflueger Anglers feel like the pros
So
light one would think the new low profile Pflueger® Patriarch XT
baitcaster would float. At just 6.8 ounces, this low profile
reel is a bass angler’s dream for sunrise to sunset casting.
Additional features of the reel that contribute to the light
weight and comfort are the carbon fiber handle with EVA knobs
and soft touch thumb bar spool release.
The rigid aluminum frame is incased with titanium coated
aluminum sideplates. The titanium coating resists scratching and
protects against corrosion, even in saltwater conditions.
The Patriarch XT is built with features the professional angler
demands, including 9 double shielded stainless steel bearings,
one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing, precision cut
aluminum gears with a 6.4:1 gear ratio, a main gear applied star
drag with carbon fiber washers and a titanium line guide.
The reel also incorporates the patented Ultimate Brake System™
that combines centrifugal and magnetic brakes for a limitless
range of cast control to overcome any fishing condition. The
centrifugal brake is a sealed six-pin adjustable system to
control spool speed and prevent backlashes at the beginning of
the cast. The magnetic brake is externally adjustable and slows
the spool down near the end of the cast to prevent line overrun.
Pflueger Arbor Spinning Reel and Rod Combo

With a spinning rod designed specifically for the new reel
With the introduction of the new Pflueger Arbor spinning reel,
it became apparent the reel needed a special rod to benefit from
the reel’s oversized spool. Not just any spinning rod would do.
The result is a perfectly matched and balanced rod and reel
combination that takes advantage of the reel’s design and
purpose.
The Arbor reel is highlighted with an oversized, large arbor
spool, which winds the line on to the reel in larger loops. With
7 stainless steel ball bearings, the reel is smooth on the
retrieve. Made with a hybrid aluminum construction the reel is
lightweight. Oversized carbon fiber washers manage the sealed
drag system. Additional features include a graphite rotor,
Sure-Click™ bail and solid aluminum bail wire.
Two models are available; the Arbor 7430 reel is matched with
the 6’6” Arbor medium-light action rod. The Arbor 7440 reel
comes on the 7’0” Arbor medium action rod. The Arbor combo has
an MSRP of $99.95.
Quantum PT Baitcast Reels at new fighting
weight
The Quantum® PT™ low-profile metal baitcast
family – Tour Edition™, Energy™ and new-member Catalyst™ – are
smaller, lighter and in the finest shape ever to begin the new
year. Overall they’ve dropped more than two ounces each from
previous PT versions, thanks to a combination of redesigns and
new materials. The changes improve performance and
maintainability without compromising durability and features.
The top-of-the-line Tour Edition models feature
11 PT bearings, a super-strong aluminum drive gear that rivals
brass, seven-layer carbon fiber handle that won’t bend, the new
Micro ACS external adjustable cast control system and a slimmer
reel foot.
The highly popular Energy baitcast series lost
weight but gained two PT bearings in the process making it now a
9-bearing design. The Catalyst series consists of right and left
hand models for both the “Burner” and “Speed” gear ratios. And
like all PT baitcast models, Catalyst reels get the newly
designed trip mechanism that uses a heat-treated stainless steel

U.S. Reel SuperCaster 1000
Simply put, the introduction of the new U.S. Reel SC1000
series has ushered in the future of baitcasting mechanics and
performance. There are no other baitcasters in the world like
them.
It is truly the dawn of a new era!
U.S. Reel. engineers analyzed that all of the current crop of
casting reels, low profile and round, have one inherent problem
that limits casting performance: the levelwind guide. True, the
side-to-side action of the levelwind eyelet places line evenly
across the spool during the retrieve. However, it becomes a
major hindrance on the cast because it adds friction from the
sides of the eyelet. What’s more the eyelet is the primary cause
of backlashes when the line to the eyelet is at a high angle.
When this occurs, the spool hesitates when line catches on other
line and then has to accelerate to catch up. This speeding up
during the cast can actually start a backlash if the thumb is
not “educated” or the fisherman isn’t paying attention.
U.S. Reel has not only solved this glaring problem, but has
developed a system that will also dramatically increase casting
distance, even with lighter lures.
The U.S. Reel SC1000 series will perform like no other
baitcasters in the world because of the revolutionary
SuperCaster 3-Point Levelwind System.
The See-Saw Levelwind™ is the nerve center of this exclusive
system. It levels the line on the spool by a rotating angled bar
that creates a see-saw effect to guide the line. There is no
levelwind eyelet. The rolling motion of the bar levels the line,
however, during the critical casting phase, does not restrict
the line flow like a typical levelwind eyelet.
The See-Saw Levelwind is adjustable and its height actually
regulates casting control. Adjustment is simple: depress the
button, adjust to the required height, and release. When in the
highest position, the See-Saw Levelwind minimizes the need to
thumb the spool during the cast, yet it will cast farther than
most reels because it is not limited by a standard levelwind
eyelet. This is the ideal setting for casting lighter lures,
casting into the wind, or for newcomers to baitcasting.
For low angle, longer controlled casting, set the See-Saw
Levelwind in the low position. Look out! You’ll cast a country
mile! This is the perfect setting for experienced casters,
casting heavier baits, or pitching and flipping.
The SC1000 reels have an exclusive “reverse rotation” to
mechanically complement the See-Saw Levelwind System because an
angle is required for the see-saw action to work. When the line
comes out from below the spool, this angle is created.
Additionally, spool control is easier with the spool turning
into the thumb than when moving away from the thumb. And, should
a backlash occur, it comes out much easier.
There are two models in this revolutionary baitcaster series.
The SC1000 and SC1000 Pro feature anodized aluminum frames,
anodized/hardened aluminum 7075A main gears, and a forged
aluminum with a stainless steel shaft.
The SC1000 is fitted with four ABEC 1 stainless steel ball
bearings, has a 6.2:1 retrieve and weighs 8.3 ounces.
The SC1000 Pro tips the scale at 8.5 ounces, is equipped with
six ABEC 1 stainless steel ball bearings and has a 7.1:1
retrieve ratio.
There are no other baitcasters in the world like the new
SC1000 and SC1000 Pro SuperCasters from U.S. Reel. Fish with one
and become part of the revolution.
